What is Feast Montana?

Feast Montana is a video series in pre-production that will tell the stories of Montanans and the food they grow, cook, and share. Each episode will feature off-the-beaten-path growers, farmers, and cultivators, as well as mainstream chefs, brewers, and festivals that use their food, highlighting the relationships between them.

Everyone eats, and interest in where their food comes from has become a film genre of its own. Feast Montana will give the proud residents of Montana a platform to showcase their state’s agriculture and food industry. It will show tourists and foodies alike what’s available in our great state.

STYLE

Feast Montana will be a multi-camera, cinematic documentary/vérité style series, incorporating specialty elements such as aerials and slow motion to highlight the beauty of locations, food, and communities throughout Montana. Feast Montana will be produced in the standard television episodic form of thirteen half hour episodes broken into two segments each. There will be an emphasis on high production value, showcasing the specific Montana region where each episode will be filmed.

STORIES

Montana is a large state, diverse in people, terrain, and food. There is no shortage of stories from any region of Montana. From farm-to-table, to the generational establishments, we want to leave no road untouched.

DISTRIBUTION

We intend on premiering each episode of Feast Montana on Montana PBS, immediately followed by availability on YouTube, all supported by a fun and engaging presence on Social Media.
